C’est avec grand plaisir qu’on vous invite à notre Prière Œcuménique de la Rentrée le mardi 26 septembre à 19:00 afin de marquer le début d’une nouvelle année ensemble.

Venez rejoindre nos célébrants protestants, orthodoxes, anglicans et catholiques, accompagnés par notre propre chorale ‘Gabriel’s Band’, puis passez en bas pour un verre de l’amitié ensemble pour rencontrer vos anciens amis et de nouvelles connaissances.

Dans l’année de la célébration de 500 ans de la Réforme protestante, la Chapelle pour l’Europe ensemble avec la représentation européenne de l’Église protestante allemande (EKD) souhaitent vous inviter à l‘exposition « Réforme dans l’Europe centrale et orientale“ qui était initiée par le Forum allemand de la culture pour l’Europe de l’Est. L’Europe de l’Est et l’Europe centrale étaient particulièrement réceptive à l’idée du renouvellement de l’Église – un fait qui a actuellement tendance à disparaître du champ de vision. L’aperçu qui fait partie de cette exposition fournit des informations sur ces événements et nous montre comment les choses se sont développées jusqu`à ce jour.

It gives us great pleasure to invite you to our Inauguration Ecumenical Prayer on Tuesday 26 September at 19:00, to mark the start of a new year together (see attached poster).

Come and join our Protestant, Orthodox, Anglican and Catholic celebrants, accompanied by our own choir ‘Gabriel’s Band’, then come downstairs for a light reception to meet old friends and new acquaintances.

In the year of celebrating 500 years of Protestant Reformation the Chapel for Europe and the EU representation of the  German Protestant Church (EKD) would like to invite you to the exhibition “Reformation in East Central Europe“ initiated by the German Culture Forum for Eastern Europe. Eastern and central Europe were particularly receptive to the idea of church renewal – a fact which tends to be forgotten today. The overview forming part of this exhibition provides information about these events and shows how things developed up to the present(see attached poster).

ter nagedachtenis van de soldaten die op het slagveld gevallen zijn en met een reële bezorgdheid voor de vrede tussen de naties.,
De gebedsstonde gaat door op 18/06/2015 om 16u30 in de Sint-Jozefskerk in Waterloo (Albert I plein – 1410 Waterloo)

Anlässlich des 200. Jahrestages der Schlacht von Waterloo lädt Sie die Bischofskonferenz Belgiens und die Arbeitsgemeinscha– christlicher Kirchen in Belgien zu einem
internationalen, ökumenischen und mehrsprachigen Friedensgebet ein,
das dem Gedenken an die auf dem Schlachtfeld von Waterloo gefallenen Soldaten, dem Frieden im heutigen Europa sowie dem Weltfrieden gewidmet sein soll.

– A couple of roads will be open the 18th of June (Waterloo-Nord OK), but parking will be difficult
– The local buses are running as usual, for example the W bus between Brussels and Waterloo-Eglise
– To reach the church, coming from carrefour Léonard, you should take the Exit 28  – Waterloo nord and find the church via the Reine Astrid avenue.

About the prayer
– This prayer is practically organized by the Brussels Interchurch Committee. The organization team (ecumenical and international) is presided by the BIC’s president, father Evangelos Psallas.
– The prayer service will be conducted by The Rt. Rev. Dr Robert Innes, anglican Bishop from the Gibraltar Diocese in Europe, Mgr André-Joseph Léonard, Archevêque de Malines-Bruxelles, Le Métropolite Athénagoras de Belgique du Patriarcat Oecuménique de Constantinople, Dr Steven Fuite, Président du Synode de l’Église Protestante Unie de Belgique, Pastor Geert Lorein, Président du Synode fédéral des Eglises protestantes et évangéliques, Pfarrer Reinhard Weisser and other members of christian churches. With the Choir of St Joseph.

– The prayer will be conducted in French, English, German and Dutch, with some parts or texts in other languages. A booklet in foreign languages will be shared.

La Chapelle vous invite à un « Ecumenical Prayer Lunch » : 30 minutes de prière et liturgie oecuménique, une demi heure séparée
du reste du temps – pour soi-même et pour Dieu. La liturgie est suivie par un simple lunch « maison » – un temps de convivialité et de partage.

The chapel invites you to an “Ecumenical Prayer Lunch” : 30 minutes of prayer and ecumenical liturgy, half an hour set aside – for oneself and for God. The liturgy will be followed by a simple lunch – a time for conviviatlity and sharing.
